Frontiers
Records (Zink
Music/Bonnier Amigo) is truly excited to present the
European release of WORK OF ART debut album “Art
Work” on
February 20 next year.
Work Of Art
is what AOR music is all about! Have you ever dreamt of
soaring melodies, heavenly hooklines and a musical
technique to die for? Then these Swedish boys have it
all for you! This band was put together for the first
time in 1992 when
Herman Furin and Robert Sall
met while attending the SÖL school of music. However it
took them about 15 years to convince singer Lars Sarfsund
to come in to the project full time and devote his time
and efforts to the amazing songs the two of them wrote
during the years.
They have
recorded a demo (which can still be listened for
some time on the band’s Myspace page) and
started sending it around to websites and
labels. What happen is well explained in
guitarist’s
Robert Sall words “For
us as a band, these past months has been quite
an experience. In February 07 we still
considered WOA just a "side project" having only
a 3 song demo and here we are now 9 months
later, signed to our favourite record label with
a completed debut album soon to be released!
We're totally excited about this since this is
not what we'd expected (or dared to dream about)
when we first release our demo. Quite honestly,
we didn't know what to expect at all!”
Recording of the debut
album started in the summer of 2007 and in early fall
the band delivered their masterpiece! Reactions are
already overwhelming with such comments as “I'm
really digging this record for an ultra smooth dose of
traditional Westcoast / AOR” by Andrew J. McNeice
of Melodicrock.com and “the
best album of it's type I've heard in years”
by Phil Ashcroft
of Fireworks Magazine
Some album samples have been already
released on Melodicrock.com and on the band’s Myspace
site and they have brought a great deal of interest for
the guys, which also brought to licensing deals for the
album for a domestic release in Japan on King Records
and in the USA on
Locomotive Records.
Influences like TOTO,
Journey and Giant can be easily recognized. Ranging from
more up-tempo Rockers like “Why
do I?” to more radio friendly songs like “Camelia”,
with grandiose ballads as “One
In A Lifetime” and even contemporary Rock
songs like “Cover Me”,
Work of Art is set to reach not only the traditional
Melodic Rock fan base but also to cross over to a wider
and more radio based audience.
If you’re still undecided about what
present to give your loved ones this Christmas, we have
the answer: “A Christmas Eve in L.A.”.
This exquisite collection of renditions of Christmas songs
by renowned songwriters like David Foster, Diane
Warren, Robbie Buchanan and others has been brilliantly
produced by the great Urs Wiesendanger
and it will definitely make the perfect Christmas gift!
Less than 100 copies are left of 1000 made, so be sure not
to miss yours!
Wiesendanger’s inventive arrangements
and keyboard playing shine on modern day classics like David
Foster’s “Grown-Up Christmas List” which opens the album.
Foster’s songwriting genius is represented by other gems
like “This Time Next Year,” co-written with Babyface, “On
Christmas Morning,” a collaboration with Kenny Loggins,
and the gorgeous “The Joy Of Christmas Past” appearing for
the first time on CD.
The latest
news from Contante & Sonante is that they will be releasing
a new album during the second half of 2008. The project
will feature an extensive list of first-class American session
musicians and vocalists. They’ve promised the album will
truly satisfy all lovers of Westcoast music and the wait
will be worth it!
Out of nowhere comes Bigkrush,
an American band with a very strong calm AOR/Westcoast release
like a mix between Pablo Cruise/Little River Band (harmonies),
early Toto (the guitarwork and songstructures) and King
Of Hearts (the light sound). Actually this CD is the most
pure Westcoast release I have heard in ages. It is similar
in style to the AOR project of Frederic Slama, Alliance
1982, Dakota and Balance as well, so I think you now know
what to expect, namely a song based album with very melodic
clean lead vocals in the Franke and The Knockouts style
and songs a la David Roberts, Jay Gruska and Player, so
the insiders then will understand we have something really
interesting here. If anyone had told me this was a Japanese
re-issue from a 1982 record I would have instantly believed
it. Info from

Joureny welcomes Arnel
Pineda with "Open Arms" to their family as the band's new
lead singer.
December 5, 2007 -- After much speculation…the wait is finally
over.
JOURNEY -- Neal Schon (guitar), Jonathan Cain (keyboards),
Ross Valory (bass), Deen Castronovo (drums)--is proud to
introduce fans all over the world to their new lead singer,
Arnel Pineda (“pin-eh-da”). He replaces Jeff Scott Soto,
who parted ways with the band earlier this year after stepping
in for Steve Augeri, who had to leave the band in 2006 for
medical reasons.
Arnel hails from Quezon City in the Philippines and has
been singing Journey songs--in addition to original material--with
his band, The Zoo, for the past couple of years in clubs
all over his homeland. Joining the legendary band is a dream
come true for him.
“It’s so exciting to sing with one of the best bands in
the world. It’ll be a lot of hard work on my part and I’m
actually looking forward to the scrutiny I’ll get from the
hardcore JOURNEY fans. I know they’ll expect me to sound
exactly like ‘the voice’ (Steve Perry), but that will never
happen. I know there's only one Steve Perry in this world.”
When it was time for JOURNEY to look for a new lead singer,
the internet came to their rescue. Guitarist Neal Schon
wanted someone new to the music business, so he turned to
YouTube. After finding Arnel singing “Faithfully,” he knew
he had found the perfect frontman.
“I was frustrated about not having a singer,” explains guitarist
Neal Schon, “so I went on YouTube for a couple of days and
just sat on it for hours. I was starting to think I was
never going to find anybody. But then I found The Zoo and
I watched a bunch of different video clips that they had
posted. After watching the videos over and over again, I
had to walk away from the computer and let what I heard
sink in because it sounded too good to be true. I thought,
‘he can’t be that good.’ But he is that good, he’s the real
deal and so tremendously talented. Arnel doesn’t sound synthetic
and he’s not emulating anyone. I tried to get a hold of
him through YouTube and I finally heard from him that night,
but it took some convincing to get him to believe that it
really was me and not an imposter.”
Arnel Pineda picks up the story: “My friend Noel picked
up the message on YouTube and told me it was from Neal.
I thought it was a hoax so I ignored it. Noel said, ‘what
if it really was Neal and he wanted to offer you the chance
of a lifetime?’ So I e-mailed Neal back and the rest is
history.”
“Arnel brings a soulful and passionate voice to JOURNEY,”
continues keyboardist Jonathan Cain. “His personality is
very well-suited to our music. He’s a sincere, authentic
person with a great smile and a big heart. I think fans
are really going to love him. With Arnel’s soaring tenor,
Journey returns to our heritage sound.”
Schon agrees, “We feel reborn. I think there’s a lot of
chemistry between the five of us. At first we were going
to go into the studio and just write 4 songs, but now it’s
escalated to a lot of great new and diverse material. The
stuff sounds tremendous. Everyone’s so stoked about it.
We feel very fortunate to have found Arnel.”
JOURNEY is currently working on a new album with legendary
producer Kevin Shirley, which they hope to release by spring/summer
2008. Details will be announced early next year.
Peter Friestedt will release his
new album “LA Project II”; it is of-course the follow-up
to the critically acclaimed album from five years ago. The
new album features lead vocals from Joseph Williams, Bill
Champlin, Randy Goodrum, Lou Pardini, Michael Ruff and Bill
Cantos. Some of them also lend their help as featured musicians
on the album, among the other musicians we also find Peter
Friestedt (of-course) and friends like Abraham Laboriel,
John ‘JR’ Robinson, Tris Imboden and Stefan Gunnarsson.
The album is mixed by Ronny Lahti and mastered in HD-quality
by Björn Engelman at Cutting Room in Stockholm.
The material on the album is very strong
and Peter has amongst others co-written with Bill Champlin
and Randy Goodrum. What makes this record irresistible is
the combination of outstanding musical performances, state
of the art song-writing and high quality production!
Daniel Andersson is a new name
on the Westcoast scene, but the music he represents is mature
and true to the classic sound created in California in the
late seventies and early eighties. Daniel has been playing
music all his life, he started out by learning the guitar
and singing has always been a natural thing for him. The
interest for music has grown through out the years and the
styles have varied, but some influences have always been
there, stuff like Toto, Chicago and Airplay! In 2003 he
got the opportunity to study in Los Angeles at MI, where
he met and recorded with heroes Jason Scheff (Chicago) and
Jimmy Haslip (Yellowjackets).
Being in L.A. was a tremendous experience
and he got the chance to meet with a lot of great players
and producers, including the Airplay duo Jay Graydon and
David Foster. Back in Sweden he decided to write and record
his own songs in the same style as he grew up listening
to - take part of his “Days In L.A."

Frontiers Records
(Zink Music/Bonnier Amigo) is thrilled to announce the European
release of STEVE LUKATHER’s brand new studio album entitled
“Ever Changing Times”
on February 22nd
2008.
Best known
as guitar player and singer for TOTO and tireless
session man, Steve Lukather
released so far three vocal solo albums. “Ever
Changing Times” is certainly another musical
gem to be added to the list of top quality productions featuring
his classic trademarks: exquisite playing, finely crafted
productions and a very diverse range of music styles, encompassing
heartfelt ballads, straight-ahead rockers and fusion extravaganza.
“It’s been 10
years since my last "vocal" record”,
explains Lukather, introducing his new album “And
I thought it was time to rock again and sing”.
While his song writing and abilities naturally evolved
with time, one can’t deny that “good
music is always good music”, especially
when the creative process was “done
in the traditional way: guys playing in a room together
and writing good songs”.
The result
of this new studio effort, which lasted several months in
between Toto tours during 2007, are eleven songs which incorporate
all aspects Steve Lukather is well known for. “The
record rocks harder than Toto, but there is enough melodic
stuff on there to please any Toto fan. There is also stuff
that sounds youthful because my co-producer Steve Macmillan
and my son were keeping me honest and up to date”
says Luke, “It shows
a lot of my influences and music I like. If it sounds good,
then I keep it”.
Steve of
course could not make it all on his own. How could a musician
that played on hundreds of records of other amazing artists
could make it without some help ? But this time there are
some very special people and friends involved. “My
writing partner / executive producer Randy Goodrum
suggested that I should do this record. He got me excited
to do something different and work with such great players
and songwriters. I was also thrilled that my son Trevor co-wrote
2 of the tunes with us and my daughter sang on a tune and
all my friends and amazing musos came out to support”.
The list of special guest also includes former Toto singer
Joseph Williams
and Chicago’s Bill Champlin
on background vocals, Leland Sklar
on bass, Steve Weingart,
Jeff Babko,
Randy Goodrum
on keyboards and synths plus a Steve Porcaro
cameo on one track, Abe
Laboriel Jr. on drums and other friends and guest
stars who all lent their talent to ensure a truly exciting
and fresh result.
“I think if you blindfolded
rock critics and played them "Tell
Me What You Want From Me", they would be VERY
surprised to find out who the artist is”, says
Luke presenting the songs on the new album, adding “I
also really like the way “Stab
in the Back” turned out. I am a Steely Dan fan
and I know Donald Fagen and Walter Becker and this was a
tribute to them”.
“Ever
Changing Times” offered Steve Lukather a unique
chance to showcase his invigorating musical freedom and
is set to give the listener a complete reward for his attention
and dedication.
The complete track listing
is as follows: Ever
Changing Times, The Letting Go, New World,
Tell Me What You Want From Me, I Am, Jammin With
Jesus, Stab in the Back, Never Ending Nights, Icebound,
How Many Zeros, The Truth.
Steve Lukather will also tour Europe and the rest
of the World with his band in the summer 2008. Lookout

While Jay Graydon is finishing his new
album to be released around April 2008, the 1994 concert
in Japan from the Japan/Scandinavia Tour with the Jay Graydon
Allstars Band will be released on video on Dec. 5th in Japan
by Ward Records. The line-up on this tour was, apart from
the band leader, Jay Graydon, on guitars and vocals - Bill
Champlin (vocals, of course, guitar and Hammond B3), Bill
Cantos (vocals and keyboard), Sherwood Ball (vocals and
guitar), Steve Porcaro (keyboard and synths), John Van Tongeren
(keyboard and synths), Pat Mastelotto (drums), Kenji Sano
(bass) and Joseph Williams (vocals). More on this as things
unfold.
Peter Friestedt's L.A.Project II is it's
final stage right now. Release dates will be set in a couples
of weeks. You can check out Peters official
MySpace where you're able to listen to a brief preview
of the upcoming album and read more about Peter and his
project!
On the new CD Peter has written tracks
along with grammy award winning songwriters Bill Champlin
and Randy Goodrum. The new CD has the wonderful rythm section
of John "JR" Robinson and Abraham Laboriel.
Here is the track list of the new record:

Frontiers Records (Bonnier
Amigo/Zink Music)
is pleased to announce all details for the release of DAVID READMAN’s
self titled debut album on August 31st 2007!
Best known
as singer for PINK CREAM 69, David also appeared on album
from Adagio
and from studio projects such as Missa Mercuria
and on the more recent Andersen / Laine / Readman
CD.
After David
left the French Power Metal outfit Adagio in 2005, he started
to gather material for a solo album which has always been
his ultimate dream. “I
did a lot myself from writing the songs, to recording organizing
the whole thing” says David, “Dennis
Ward (David’s bandmate in PC69) recorded the drums over
2 sessions and also mixed the record. If I was to
thank something it would be the Internet, strange I know
but without it would have taken even longer. And I wouldn't
have met all the great people who played on the record,
especially Paul Logue (of Eden’s Course) who played bass
and wrote 2 songs with me”.
David has worked hard on the song-writing. He explains:
“There are a
few songs that wouldn't have made it on a PC69 cd
because of style, with this record I was able to
experiment a little. When you work this
way it becomes your baby, you’re making all the
decisions. It’s not always easy to keep a song interesting
from the start to the finish. So that was a lot
of work, but that’s what I wanted”
Recording started already during 2006, but David
needed a long break (for the recording of PC 69’s
latest opus “In10sity”),
so that resumed the work in February 2007 and finally
delivered the album in the spring time.
“I am very happy
with the record; it was a big deal for me a real
learning-curve. I'm also interested to hear what
the people have to say about it, I’m very inpatient”,
concludes the Burnley-born british singer.
The line-up appearing on “David
Readman” includes Paul Logue
(Eden’s Curse) on bass, Dirk Bruinenberg
(Elegy) and Chris
Schmidt on drums,
Eric Ragno (ex Takara)
and Günter Werno
(Vandenplas) on keyboards and Alex Beyrodt
(Silent Force), Gerald Sänger,
Tommy Denander and
bandmate Uwe
Reitenauer on guitars. David also plays
guitars and keyboards. Production duties are handled
by Dennis Ward.
Tracklisting includes:
Without You;
Evil Combination;
Take These Tears;
Don't Let It Slip Away;
No Peace For The Wicked;
Long Way To Heaven;
Wild In The City; Gentle Touch; Prisoner Of Shame;
New Messiah; Over The Ocean; Love In
Vain. Don't Let It Slip Away.
It's safe to say that fans of Pink Cream 69
and David Readman
will not be disappointed with this record, who sets
the style in Melodic Hard Rock, with soaring hook
lines and in-your face guitars.
Frontiers
Records (Zink Music/Bonnier Amigo) is pleased to announce
the reissue of MICHAEL THOMPSON BAND’s masterpiece “How
Long” on June 8th 2007.
In order
to coincide with the release of Michael Thompson’s new band
debut album TRW’s “Rivers of Paradise”, Frontiers and Michael
agreed that it was a perfect time to re-release this masterpiece
on the same day.
In 1988, after working to try and get a deal
with his band Slang for several years, Thompson got signed
by Geffen Records to release one album entitled "How Long",
under the Michael Thompson Band (MTB) monicker.
The singer for this group
was Rick 'Moon' Calhoun, previously front man for the AOR
cult band THE STRAND, Michael's long time friend. Completing
the line-up was another bunch of highly respected studio
professionals such as: John Andrew Schreiner (on keyboards),
Leon Gaer (bass), John Keane (drums)
On "How Long" more musicians
appeared, in particular drummer-maestro Terry Bozzio, Pat
Torpey (of MR BIG), bassist Jimmy Haslip, ex KANSAS vocalist
John Elefante, TOTO's Bobby Kimball and GREAT WHITE associates
Michael Lardie and Wyn Davis (who also produced the album).
As of today “How Long”
is regarded as one of the highest examples of hi-tech AOR
/ West Coast, with a superb production and immaculate songwriting.
During the years it became more and more of a collector’s
item and the prices paid on E-bay exceeded 80 dollars!
This 2007 reissue comes
completely re-mastered and adds two songs which were recorded
during the original sessions and the first fruit of a reunion
between Michael, Moon Calhoun and songwriter Jeff Paris
entitled “Wheelchair”: an appetizer for an upcoming
brand new album to be expected sometime in 2008 !
Final tracklisting of
“How Long” reissue shall be: Secret
Information; Give Love a Chance; 1000 Nights; Wasteland;
Never Stop Falling; Can’t Miss; Gloria; Stranger; Baby Come
Back; How Long; Right To Be Wrong (bonus track); Love Goes
On (bonus track);
Wheelchair (new song).
“Baptism By Fire” by Frederiksen/Demander
annouced for June!
Frontiers
Records is pleased to announce the release of the long
awaited FREDERIKSEN / DENANDER album “Baptism By Fire” on
June the 8th 2007 !
Best know for his role as lead vocalist
in TOTO’s
“Isolation”,
Dennis “Fergie” Frederiksen is undoubtedly one of the
most gifted singers in Melodic Rock history. He left his
mark also on timeless albums such as Trillion’s debut, Le
Roux “So Fired Up” and more recently singing on the awesome
Mecca project.
Hot on the heels of that recording Fergie, took the chance
to work with Swedish guitar player Tommy Denander on his
very popular Radioactive albums. Tommy is a very clever
and respected musician and producer who has worked with
an amazing number of artists and played on an equally impressive
number of records (with more than 1000 albums on his credit
list that can boast such names as Paul Stanley, Eric Clapton,
Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen, Richard Marx, Desmond
Child, TOTO and many more).
Getting to know each other better and
better, the guys started to focus on the idea of working
on a full album together with Tommy working on the songwriting
and production and Fergie offering his incredible vocal
and of course songwriting skills.
But of course when you have such amount
of talent involved you can’t help but call… even more talent
to help! Fellow Frederiksen buddy, Ricky Phillips (with
whom Fergie released the successful Frederiksen / Phillips
album in 1995) of Styx, Jim Peterik of Pride of Lions and
Tommy’s songwriting partner on many albums Björn Lindbom
– among others - offered their songwriting contributions
to the project, while Michael Thompson (TRW), Steve Porcaro
(Toto) appeared on guitars and keyboards respectively (completing
the line-up on the record is NY session drummer Eric Z Daniels
whose recent work include coming albums for Robin Beck,
Radioactive and Jimi Jamison).
After 3 long years of work, now the wait
is over and the album is ready to be unleashed. This is
an unashamedly, straight ahead Melodic Rock album with plenty
of magnificent hooks and brilliant musicianship. Everyone
who’s dreamed to listen again Fergie’s voice singing on
material that can live up to the levels of the Le Roux or
Toto classics, can now safely add this incredible record
to his collection.
Yes, it is REALLY TRUE!!!! The rumors some of you have heard
buzzing in the air for some time now, are in fact not just
rumors. Jay Graydon is currently very very busy in his studio
working on a new album with TOTALLY NEW MUSIC, written and
recorded together with renowned songwriter
Randy
Goodrum. As I am sure you already know, Randy Goodrum
has written a bunch of hit songs over the years, including
IF SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN FAITHFUL (Chicago) with Steve Kipner,
and WHO'S HOLDING DONNA NOW (DeBarge) with Jay Graydon and
David Foster.
This new upcoming CD is superbly crafted,
loaded with original, sophisticated and catchy songs, with
interesting melodic hooks paying close attention to sonic
detail as always when Jay creates music. Anyone into the
Steely Dan sound will surely love the subtle harmonic structures
and clever lyrics.
At this point Jay has begun working with
the time consuming mixing process, and there is so much
work to be done before Jay and Randy will consider the album
ready to be devoured by us starving music lovers. In a few
months time we will have come a lot closer to the release
of some really GREAT music, that is for sure!
Frontiers Records
(Zink Music/Bonnier Amigo) is pleased to announce the release
of the TWO OF A KIND self titled debut album on
May the 11th,2007
Anticipated by a very good response from the fans from the
exclusive preview of the song “Light in the Dark“
presented on the Frontiers Records myspace website, TWO
OF A KIND debut album is a bold statement from Dutch producer,
songwriter and artist Fred Hendrix, well known to
the Melodic Rock fans for his work with TERRA NOVA.
TWO OF A KIND
features in the line-up Fred together with his brother
Ron on keyboards and not one, but two female singers:
Esther Brouns and Anita Craenmehr. Completing
the lineup are Gesuino Derosas (also from TERRA NOVA)
on guitar and Hans in’t Zandt on drums.
“The concept was to create a melodic album with two female
singers. There are not that many female singers in melodic
rock, so I thought this would spice up the scene a little
bit. The bands core are the two female singers Esther and
Anita” explains Fred, adding “I have been knowing
Anita for quite some time while I found Esther by
scouting”.
After a few writing sessions, Fred submitted the plan for
his new band with a great melodic rock edge in BOSTON meets
HEART style to Frontiers Records, who immediately loved
the material and signed the band. “For me personally
it has always been a desire to write and produce for others
and this was the right opportunity. And I think this band
can have real nice future” concludes Fred Hendrix.
Tracklisting of the album includes the following
songs:
Light in the Dark; The Longest Night; Little by
Little; Give Me a Reason; Heaven Can Wait; Unbearable;
Into the Fire; In Your Arms; Whole Again; To The
Top; I Die a Little More Everyday.
TWO OF A KIND is now a ready to unleash their powerful
dose of Melodic Rock on the fans and are ready to
rock Europe with tour dates planned for spring and
the summer.
Sko / Torp – the name just reminds you of a time where
sold out venues, screaming fans, and lots of albums
sold were a normal day for a Danish musician.
11 years has gone since Sko/Torp decided to stop after
only 4 albums together. Now after solo projects, family
and much more the duo has decided to start up again.
You probably already know the history: 2 unknown musicians
take the Danish music business by storm with a different
album in 1990/91.
West Coast rock with a taste of country
music and this has been Sko/Torps guideline since day 1.
Nobody would release their first album, but it came out
at least and it sold more than 200.000 copies.
It started again in the summer of 2004. Sko/Torp was invited
to play at a big festival were they should play their hit
from 1991 ”On A Long Lonely Heart”. The response was extreme
positive and started it all over again.
Now Soren Sko & Palle Torp is back with a “Best Of” collection
with all the hits and favorite songs. Furthermore there
are 4 new songs that never have been released before and
a bonus CD, a live “unplugged” recording featuring great
versions of their songs.

new band consisting of Sherwood Ball (vocals, guitar; JAY
GRAYDON), Ola af Trampe (guitar; ex GRAND ILLUSION) and
Anders Rydholm (bass, keyboards, guitars; ex GRAND ILLUSION).
One day,
driving in his car, Anders Rydholm heard Sherwood Ball sing
an old Jay Graydon tune on the radio (Holding on to Love)
and started to wonder what Sherwood was doing these days.
After exchanging a couple of e-mails, Sherwood was convinced
to sing on the album. He says: “When I got the music via
email from Anders, I was expecting that I would be listening
to junk, not knowing Anders or his music. When I played
tracks, I was blown away. I had always wanting to sing in
a band like Toto or Giant and this was exactly of that quality.”
A couple of months later, Anders and guitarist Ola af Trampe
visited Sherwood at his home in Studio City, California.
Their meeting became the genesis for the creation of the
band, CODE. The name CODE is referring to an honorable agreement,
not computer programming or secret codes, etc. Anders states:
“We would like to establish a new ROCK code. A standard
to create by.” So many times, the reason for failure in
relationships (from business, groups, etc.) is the lack
of clear understanding and mutual agreement.
Featured on all the songs on this debut CD by CODE is world
famous drummer, Gregg Bissonette (David Lee Roth, Steve
Vai, Joe Satriani, Santana, Toto etc.)
Anders and Sherwood share the same vision of creating the
best music possible and to take the Melodic Rock genre to
the next level. The songwriting being paramount, they have
not been satisfied until they wrote and rewrote 40 songs
to come up with 12 truly great songs. Anders and Sherwood
both agreed that what has been missing in the Melodic Rock
genre’ has been great songs! It’s been the goal to create
music they will be proud of for life.

The ambition
for the future of CODE is to not only bring the music to
the people by performing live, but to establish the band
and it’s music as a staple and standard for the melodic
genre of today and tomorrow. Quite a tall order, but someone’s
gotta do it. Recordings have taken place in Växjö, Sweden
and Hollywood, California, USA. The album “The enemy within”
will be released on January 22nd, 2007.
The band exploded onto the music scene
in 1991 with their self-titled debut album, Harem Scarem.
The first album spawned several singles and videos wich
proceeded to take
Canada by storm.
The release of their second album "Mood Swing" brought even
more acclaim from fans and critics alike. Mood Swing was
the first of Harem Scarem's albums to be realesed in Japan.
After 5 more studio albums, the band
finished it's 7th album deal with Warner Music and embarked
on a new chapter of releasing records independently. To
mark the return of Harem Scarem, the band released "Weight
Of The World" in the spring of 2004
Despite a flurry of release, the band
didn't take much of a break. August 2003 saw the release
of "Higher". This album was a natural follow-up to Weight
Of The World - a solid mix of morden and melodic rock, the
fans have come expect from the band.
In 2005 the band released "Overload"
to mixed reviews from the melodic rock world and soon after
the band set out to make a record for their fans.
Now, January 12 2007 the wait is over
"Human Nature" hits the stores around the world. This record
really takes us back to what Harem Scarem was all about
in the beginning, big vocals, and a lot of melodic songs.
Early reviews of Human Nature have confirmed
the bands claims that this is one of the best Harem Scarem
records ever. "We're excited about the future of the
band and really hope to get out on the road in 07 and play
for the fans that have stayed with us for almost twenty
years". After selling over 1 million records worldwide
there seem to be no end in sight for Harem Scarem.
