Kenny Loggins
turns to a more techno approach and stubs his toe commercially.
He had established himself as a singles and soundtrack star
(notably in 1984's Footloose) with this kind of up tempo, synthesized
material, but in so doing lost his connection with his album
audience, and, by taking such a stylistic sidetrack on his first
full-length album in two-and-a-half years, failed to reconnect
with fans who still remembered him from "House At Pooh Corner."
In retrospect, they were wise; Vox Humana is ambitious but unaccomplished.
