After only 3 months, in early 1995, the band
recorded their first demo. Later the same year another demo
saw the light of day.
In 1996, HIGHER GROUND went into the studio
armed with 6 songs which they recorded live and which led
to them landing a deal with ProActive Records. Released
in remixed form in mid 1997, these six songs formed the
“Keep On Walkin'” E.P., which received considerable critical
acclaim.
The band started work on their debut album
in 1998.
Over 18 months in the making, the album was
preceded by a limited edition 3 track single 'Ghost In My
Head' (released in April 2000) which also featured an exclusive
acoustic version of “Keep Walking” from the 1997 E.P. HIGHER
GROUND's debut full length album “Perfect Chaos” was
released in May 2000.
Now, HIGHER GROUND are back with their
2nd full length album “A Thousand Pieces” which
was recorded from October 2003 - June 2004 at Vaxjö, Sweden
at Downtown Studios. The production was handled by Michael
Rosman and HIGHER GROUND and the mastering by Mikael Ferngren.
