It’s done! After the successful
“HTP”, “Live In Tokyo” album, the sold out european tour and
the phenominal press feedback Glenn Hughes and Joe Lynn Turner
have been writing furiously on their follow up album and the
songs come out great!
The first HTP release was
a milestone in the rockmusic history as both living legends,
both ex DEEP PURPLE, both remarkable vocalists, on one album!
These two internationally renowned musicians sold more than
15 million albums together
Some press comments:
Heavy, oder was: “ Ain't it funny, though, that the old horses,
in this case "The Voice of Rock" Glenn Hughes, and Joe Lynn
Turner, have to put their shouldes to the wheel, again, to show
us the way ... "HTP" is exactly what we can expect from the
masters themselves.“
Metal Heart: „ ... on "HTP",
two pros are showing their tricks, and they combine their talent
and their experience to create a masterpiece that is a momument
to Hardrock. They have excelled themselves to combine all their
greatness, as if they've always played together. And still,
both keep their own distinct style... the result is sich a harmonious
arrangement to make all eleven songs part of a single piece
of art ...“
Rock It: „The album offers
nothing but killer tracks including the BRAZEN ABBOT-like "Devil's
Road" … Intense and rocky stuff which will carry you away -
simply close to perfection.”
JOE LYNN TURNER’s first successful
band was FANDANGO. Nobody else but RITCHIE BLACKMORE lured him
to join RAINBOW. TURNER established himself as one of the very
best rock vocalists of the world. He sang on YNGWIE MALMSTEEN‘s
million seller „Odyssey“,on DEEP PURPLE‘s „Slaves & Masters“
and besides all that, he sang for BILLY JOEL, CHER, MICHAEL
BOLTON, JOHN WAITE. He published four albums of his own on MTM
MUSIC and toured with PAT BENATAR, NIGHTRANGER, and LOVERBOY.
HTP is a UNIQUE project, resulting
in a UNIQUE album with UNIQUE musicians and with songs more
than just highly above average. “II” is another high quality
hardrock album and it’s hard to point out some songs but you
should check out “Loosing My Head” with STEVE VAI’s guest guitar
solo and CHAD SMITH’s (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS) drum performance.
Another highlights are “Hold On”, “Burning The Sky” and JEFF
KOLLMAN’s guest guitar outro solo on this song or the very melodic
and deeply moved “Burning The Sky”.
All in all an absolute must
for all fans of good and honest down to earth rock music!
The album was produced by
Glenn Hughes and Joe Lynn Turner with Jeff Kollman and Mark
Rink.
