Session musicians
David Foster, Jay Graydon and Tommy Funderburk formed Airplay
and released one album in the laidback late-'70s West Coast
rock style epitomized by Toto and Chicago. Keyboard player Foster
went on to a successful solo career for Atlantic and production/arrangement
dates with Chicago and Natalie Cole (Unforgettable), guitarist
/ vocalist Graydon accumulated over 125 credits over a 25-year
career, and singer Tommy Funderburk has contributed background
vocals to over 50 albums. Airplay also included drummer Jeff
Porcaro and bassist David Hungate.
