Amateur German
songwriter meets Andrew Gold - New
single in typical West Coast sound
What has Andrew Gold, a pioneer of
the West Coast sound, been up to
lately? I met Andrew personally last
year when he agreed to record and
produce one of my songs. Being an
amateur songwriter and a big Andrew
Gold fan from Germany this was kind
of a “dream come true” experience
for me. The song we produced is
called “Did You Get What You Want”
and turned out to be a lot better
than we ever imagined. The “Song Of
The Year Contest” experts analyzed
10 elements of the song and it got a
sensational overall average rating
of 9.3 on a scale from 1 to 10. It
got airplay time at various radio
stations and has just been released
as a single at numerous internet
download platforms like AOL Musik,
Musicload.de and Finetunes.de.
International portals like iTunes
will follow soon. It will also be on
Andrew´s upcoming new album called
“Singer Songwriter”. We call
ourselves “Rob B. feat. Andrew
Gold”. For those of you interested,

Måste säga att
det är skönt att det finns sådana
här sidor som tar hand om den musik
som många vill höra i radion men
aldrig får. Denna musik är ett
döende släkte i radio och tv.
Köpte nyss den så länge omtalade
plattan från Alien. Det märks att
Jim Jidhed är tillbaka i bandet.
Förväntar man sig det gamla Alien
årgång 1988, så glöm det! Detta är
ett nytt Alien fast det finns
fortfarande kvar en del av det gamla
Aliensoundet. Detta är AOR i
världsklass
.
Jag hoppas att fler kan ta till sig
att "Gubbarna" har vuxit upp och
numer spelar för att de tycker det
är roligt, för det märks på plattan.
Kanske är det årets AOR platta, vem
vet?
Kolla in plattan, tror inte blir
besvikna.

besökare om Bill Champlins skiva
SINGLE. Den svänger enormt mycket
och t.ex. Toto, Jay Graydon och
David Foster medverkar. Den har just
fått sin re-release på CD och man
kan köpa den på CDON för 159 kr.
Måste även tipsa alla om att Toto

musik är ,SE DEM.
De är helt super deras låttolkningar
slår originalet med hästlängder.
De spelar inte alltid westcoastlåtar
men de har oftast med någon.
Men även andra covers låter helt
asbra.

You have done a marvelous job with
your site, its truly awsome!
One thing though, is it possible
that not one of your reviews have
gotten a lower rate than 7? I mean,
do you really think that all the
records are that good? If 10 (as I
suppose) is topnotch, brilliant,
absolutely worldclass. 7 must be
great, very good, right? Many times
when I read a review (from whoever),
they give a record say 8 or 9. and
when I listen to it, I perhaps think
a 4 or 5 at best. we have different
opions when it comes to music of
cause. But I think this happens too
often. Im not trying to judge you
Bengt, perhaps you think the records
are that good. I wanna think when I
see a 9 or 10, woah, Ive got to get
that record...
But hey, thats me. Anyway, this site
IS very good, infact a....9 =)

det finns fler som diggar denna
underbara men ack så underskattade
musikstil. Vi har ett coverband som
lirar Västkustlåtar ute i Sverige ,
kom och kolla om ni har chansen vi

Jag undrar bara
om du Bengt har lyssnat på gruppen
Boulevard. Jag tror det är deras
sista Cd som är så grymt bra. Om ni
inte har lyssnat på den ladda hem
den på DC++.
Vill bara tillägga att Toto är den
bästa grupp som har funnits och
kommer att finnas. Jag hoppas de
kommer till Sverige i år och då med
alla som har varit med i gruppen
genom tiderna som t ex Joseph
Williams, Fergie Frederiksen, Steve
Porcaro och Jean-Michelle Byron.

hey guys! last
week i got the steve dorff cd with
david foster's singer warren wiebe
and i gotta say for me this is the
best indie release of 2004. thanks
to the swedish music site that i was
forwarded there. now warren is on
top of my list of best westcoast
singers! thanks! it is an album full
of ballads ...but i want more like
this!
